The Texas Open Fire Meat Up is the original, the flagship, and by most accounts the biggest live fire cooking event in the world. Founded in 2021 by Argentinian pitmaster Al Frugoni, it brings together more than 30 pitmaster teams on a working ranch outside San Antonio for a full day of open fire cooking, unlimited eating, and the kind of unpretentious camaraderie that has made it a fixture on the BBQ calendar.
